Much to be thankful for!

We had a great Thanksgiving yesterday! Both of my parents were in town and it was so nice to share that day with them! Tyler slept through the meal which almost never happens and Zac was so excited and kept wishing each of us a Happy Thanksgiving. We asked him what he was thankful for and without any prompting, he said "I'm thankful for Mommy and Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa"
Today, my parents are flying back to NY and Tom's mom is on her way to the house from the airport as I'm writing this! Tom took Zac with him this morning and Tyler and I have been hanging out at the house. One kid is no problem - 2 under the age of 3 is going to be another story all together when our wonderful help finally runs out!

2 Week Check Up

Tyler had his 2 week check up yesterday and in the tradition of Younker boys, he's regained his birth weight and then some! He now weighs 8 pounds 14 1/2 ounces. Everything is good. He may have reflux or colic a little bit. He's great most of the day and then at some point in the evening or over night, he has a long bout of crying and you can tell that something is bothering him but have no idea what for sure. Hopefully this will end soon!

8 things You May Not Know...

I was tagged by my fellow blogger and neighbor, Kim Daugherty to post 8 things about myself that my readers may not know and I am supposed to tag 8 other bloggers! Unfortunately since I'm pretty new at this, I only know 2 others!
So tag you're it:
Jill Johnston (loyal friend from our crazy days at Hanscom AFB, Mass)
Melissa Najera (friend from TX who moved away to AZ :( )

So, here goes:

-I was a skydiver for about 2 years and on my 3rd solo jump in CO, I landed hard and fractured one of the vertabrae in my spine but 6 weeks later continued jumping to earn my A license!

- Tom and I grew up in the same town but didn't "meet" until I visited my brother at the Air Force Academy in CO 1998 and we started a long distance relationship at that point while I was still living in NY

- I love the family traditions associated with Christmas and I can't wait to pass them on to my two boys and see Christmas new again through their eyes.

- I have an insatiable sweet tooth!

- I used to be painfully shy as a kid and still have trouble in larger groups of people

- Someday I want to live on a lake where I can wakeboard and spend time at the water every day!

- Something unusual about me is that I love to get shots and give blood! Strange - I know!

- I secretly dream of getting plastic surgery someday!

One Week Old

Tyler is already one week old today! I can't believe it! He's doing really well so far. Saturday night was rough. He was up a lot for some reason and Tom and I got next to no sleep. Sunday night though, he went 3-4 hours between feedings again and things were much better! He's eating well and seems to enjoy the noise of his busy big brother. Zac seems to be adjusting well too. He's not crazy about Daddy holding Tyler yet because I think he's really enjoying getting to spend so much time with his Daddy! We're trying to keep him busy each day and that's tough with a baby who's not really supposed to go anywhere yet!

Winner of Online Baby Pool and Welcome Tyler!

The winner of the online baby pool is Greg Barrett! With a runner up on the same day of Kathy Jensen! Thanks everybody for your guesses!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while but things have been busy. Both Tyler and I were released from the hospital on Halloween having only stayed two nights! Yeah! So we were able to be here at home to see Zac get dressed up and go trick or treating! He had a blast! We celebrated Tom's 29th birthday on Oct. 30 with a cake at the hospital. He will forever share his birthday not only closely with Halloween but now with Tyler as well!

Tyler is doing great so far. In case you don't already know, he was born Monday, Oct. 29th at 12:28 pm. He weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. I am doing SO much better than following my C-section with Zac. It helps not laboring and then pushing for four hours! This may change but he's doing well at allowing Tom and I to get SOME sleep! He sleeps for four hours at night for the most part and only eats about every three hours during the day!

Here are some pics and I will try to be back on here soon!

Oh yeah, and I have been tagged by my fellow blogger and friend/neighbor Kim Daugherty to post 8 things about myself that other people may not know and then tag 8 other bloggers. Hopefully I will do that very soon!
